Born in São Paulo, Brazil, Raiza's life was shaped by her rich multicultural heritage, with Japanese and Italian roots. At four years old, her mother brought her to the United States, sparking a journey that would profoundly influence her future.
Growing up undocumented in New Jersey, Raiza encountered numerous challenges—language barriers, financial hardships, and the constant fear of deportation. Witnessing her single mother's relentless struggle to build a life for them fueled Raiza's determination to support other immigrants facing similar obstacles. These early experiences instilled in her a deep empathy and a resolute commitment to advocacy. Raiza pursued a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations with a minor in Sociology at Florida International University, complementing her studies with an international field study in Political Science at Sciences Po Aix in France. Her passion for continuous learning led her to acquire certifications, such as the AILA Paralegal, Harvard University: Exercising Leadership from edX, and Project Management Foundations from Google. Professionally, Raiza's career is marked by leadership and innovation. She has overseen multidisciplinary teams, managed complex projects, and implemented processes to enhance efficiency and workflow. Her commitment to excellence is evident in her successful track record, securing Asylums and U Visas for vulnerable individuals, as well as employment-based visas for some of the most unconventional roles. Raiza's approach is rooted in integrity, compassion, and dedication. She is an active member of esteemed organizations including the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), the American Bar Association (ABA), the American Translators Association (ATA), and the Project Management Institute (PMI). Her expertise spans process management and immigration law, ensuring that her clients receive the best possible support. Outside of her professional life, Raiza is a devoted animal lover, caring for three cats and three dogs. She dreams of owning land to rescue animals and grow her own food, reflecting her love for nature and self-sufficiency. Raiza's home is a haven filled with plants, and her adventurous spirit has taken her to over 20 countries. Upon arriving in the United States, Marielli initially worked as a house cleaner. She divided her time between hard work and studies, focusing first on becoming fluent in English. This linguistic evolution opened new doors for her, leading to her enrollment in college. Driven by her passion for Law Enforcement, she earned an Associate of Science degree with a major in Criminal Justice. Furthermore, she pursued an immigration law course under the guidance of Dr. Clarissa Kallil, Esq. A pivotal moment in her career came with a job invitation from a friend, prompting Marielli to give up her cleaning business and return to the legal field as a paralegal. Through rigorous study and dedication, she developed significant expertise in immigration law. Her work is consistently guided by ethics, commitment, and a relentless pursuit of positive outcomes.
